Dr. Margarita Taushanova acquired two specialties: Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Her professional experience includes working in private and public hospitals as well as heading the Oncology Clinic in the biggest university hospital in the country.

Currently, she works at the “Serdika” General Hospital, Sofia – a multidisciplinary hospital with a specialized chemotherapy department.

Her main field of interest is Breast Cancer and in particular Triple-negative Breast Cancer. In 2013, Dr. Taushanova obtained her PhD “Treatment and diagnosis of triple negative carcinoma of the mammary gland”.

She is the author of a large number of publications in the field of oncology in Bulgarian and foreign journals. Conducts specialized training for young oncologists in the form of thematic lectures and courses.

Participates in research teams, incl. and principal Investigator, in multiple clinical trials.

She is a member of the Board of the Bulgarian Association of Medical Oncology (BAMO) and a permanent member of ESMO, ASCO, Young Oncologist’s Club and the Bulgarian Medical Union.

Well appreciated and respected by her colleagues and patients Dr. Taushanova was nominated for the award “Doctors we trust”.
